Raiseberry is Red Press Society’s annual arts gala and fundraiser featuring performances and displays by local artists in various genres. food and drink from local producers, and a silent auction. The proceeds from the event go towards bringing Raspberry magazine to hard-copy print format, allowing for increased distribution in our local communities.

On June 9, 2018, Red Press Society hosted the 2nd annual Raiseberry at The Reach Gallery and Museum. The event featured live performances from Jada Klein, Quinn Sojonky, TESSA, and Casinos. Seamus Hefferman did a reading from his recently released debut novel, Napalm Hearts, and poets Margret Bollerup and Heather Ramsey each did poetry readings. Artist Shannon Thiessen created another stunning piece as a live painting during the event.

This years’ silent auction featured items such as a 4-lesson certificate to Sound of Music, two 3-month passes to Boardwalk, hand crafted jewelry from Carla Swope  Jewels, and much, much more.

The Red Press Society extends their great thanks to The Reach for being our event sponsor for the second year in a row, as well as to the UFV Alumni Association, and Asgar Hanson of A&D Sound & Stage for his assistance with sound engineering for the evening.
