For the second year in a row we were lucky enough to host the Raiseberry arts gala and fundraiser at The Reach Gallery and Museum in Abbotsford.
We were thrilled to have Chris Silver of Sumas Nation provide an opening address and traditional prayer as the opening of the event. Thank you again to Deputy Mayor Sandy Blue for her attendance.
This year featured musical performances from Jada Klein, Quinn Sojonky, TESSA, and Casinos and literary readings from poets Margret Bollerup and Heather Ramsey, and Napalm Hearts author Seamus Heffernan. Additionally, we were able to have artist Shannon Thiessen in attendance doing a live painting which was included in our silent auction.
Thank you to our silent auction donors: Sound of Music, Field House, Floathouse, Old Yale Brewing, Kindred Clothing Co, Boardwalk Cafe & Games, Devon Burbank, Small Inklings, Carla Swope, Clay Cottage, Mission Clay Works Studio, Fraser Valley Cider Company, Jim Unger, Mountain Farm Soap and the Harrison Festival Society.
Additional thanks to Ravens Brewing for providing beer for this event for the second year.
Special thanks to The Reach for sponsoring the venue again this year, the UFV Alumni Association for sponsoring the event, and A&D Sound and Music for their assistance with sound and media. We appreciate your continued support.
A very special thank you to RPS member Deron Tompke for doing photography for the event.
